Trip Itinerary to the Langtang Valley Trek

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,470 m)

Experience a scenic 6-7 hour drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the entry point to the Langtang region. The route takes you through green hills, terraced fields, and traditional villages and you see the snow-capped mountains from time to time. You stay overnight in a local tea house.

Day 2: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,470 m)

the trek follows the Langtang Khola River. Along the way, you cross suspension bridges and walk through oak and rhododendron forests. After leaving Bamboo and Rimche, small villages, you arrive at Lama Hotel. The day walking covers about 6 hours.

Day 3: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430 m)

Day 4: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870 m)

Day 6: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2,470 m)

Back you go, retracing your steps from Kyanjin through Langtang Village and Ghora Tabela, relishing the downhill trail and the scenery that keeps changing. The walk down takes about 6 hours.

Day 7: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1,470 m)

today is the last day of the trek coming back to Syabrubesi and thus finishing the circular route. Treat yourself to a nice dinner of local food and a good rest.

Day 8: Drive Back to Kathmandu
